Mattress Care

Consider your mattress and foundation to be your sleep environment.  Care is needed in order to assure the best hygiene and performance.

  • Make sure your mattress is properly installed, and seated correctly on a sturdy bed frame.  If it’s a queen or king size set, make sure there is an adequate center support to prevent bowing or breakage.
  • Use a protective pad such as a washable mattress pad to protect it from stains.
  • Vacuuming is the only recommended cleaning method.  Do not ever soak a mattress or foundation.
  • Don’t remove the tag, as it contains manufacturer information required if you should have a warranty claim.
  • Don’t let kids jump on your sleep set.  This can damage the interior construction.
  • Never put a board between the mattress and foundation.
  • Rotate your mattress to prevent contour impressions.  Ideally you should rotate every two weeks for the first three months, then once every two months or as needed for comfortable sleep.
